






ABOUT THE CONFERENCE


The South Asia Consultation on Safe Migration to Combat Trafficking Held in New Delhi, India.

The South Asia Consultation involved countries that have witnessed major migratory movements, both within the subregion and globally, with representation from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka.
​
The overall objective of the South Asia Consultation on Promoting Safe Migration and Combatting Trafficking of Children Across Borders was to bring together multiple stakeholders including key decision makers, law enforcement officials, civil society organisations and research institutions to create a common platform to deliberate on the issue of safe migration, and focusing at solutions to combat cross border trafficking.
